Morning vs. Night Skincare: Are You Doing It Right?

Recently, skincare has become an integral part of our lives. But many people are confused about what routine to follow and when. Many also wonder about how daytime skincare varies from the night-time one. Here’s a comprehensive guide on what you should focus on during the day and what at night.

Daytime Skincare

Daytime skincare targets preparing our skin to face the harsh realities (Of Dirt, Germs, Dust, Etc.) of the day and make it radiant and glowing. It’s quite like a pep-talk we give ourselves so that we stay strong throughout the day. We also use sunscreen and products with SPF to protect us from the UV rays during the day.

Cleanse:

In the morning; we should use a gentle cleanser to clear our skin from any germs lingering on us due to the dirty pillowcase and clear the skincare from the night before.

De-puff, treat, and protect: To reduce puffiness, we use under-eye creams, ice rollers, etc., which also help brighten the skin. Besides, we use a toner packed with antioxidants and vitamins to protect the skin from environmental impurities of the day. We also moisturize it to prevent dryness.

SPF:

SPF is the most essential part of our skincare during the day. No matter how cloudy the sky looks, SPF is needed to fight the tough battle against the harsh UV rays. Without it, the whole skincare routine becomes an army without a shield.

Night-time skincare

Night-time skincare is essential to undo all the harm from the day. Just like we crave a refreshing bath, warm food, and cool water after a long, hard day, our skin is also left begging for care after a day filled with impurities of the environment.

Cleanse:

During the night, we should adopt double cleansing. First, to remove all the makeup from the skin, and next, to clear all the dirt, oil, and build-up of the day.

Treat:

Our skin, too, deserves a treat after the day. Just like we have our favourite ones, our skin, too, has its preferences. The treatment of toners and serums should be targeted to our skin’s concerns be it acne, wrinkles, or anything else. Moreover, they also help remove the debris and dust.

Replenish:

On special days (i.e. twice a week), our skin should get some extra love in the form of face masks. It’s better to use at night since the serums can be well absorbed by our skin overnight, and it has ample time to take effect.

Moisturize:

Seal the deal with a good moisturizer. After the whole routine, our skin tends to get dry, which is where this comes in. Apply it and have a sound sleep, which is ALSO essential to have good and healthy skin.

Final Overview

The key takeaway from this is that both day and night-time skincare are pretty different from each other and target specific areas of concern. This is why we should create comprehensive skincare to ensure our skin remains young, healthy, and replenished 24/7. Be sure to use premium products such as Eminence to elevate skin quality.
